The Shichon is a mixed breed dog–a cross between the Shih Tzu and the Bichon Frise dog breeds. Affectionate, intelligent, and outgoing, these pups inherited some of the best qualities from both of their parents. Shichons go by a few other names including the Shih Tzu-Bichon mix, Zuchon, and Teddy Bear dog. This type of breed is very safe around children, they are friendly, not aggressive, loving, affectionate, and just want to cuddle. Most of the moment, their personality is as nice as honey-dipped candy. These pups are also loyal and easy to train. The Shichon dog breed is intelligent and has the capacity to do well with training. ... Socialization is also important, particularly when the dog is still young, to make sure he remains friendly around strangers and other dogs. Unlike the stereotypical small-dog temperament -- hyper, yippy and sometimes anxious -- teddy bears have mellow, loving personalities that make them perfect companions. If you encounter one, you might just fall in love -- and living with a teddy bear usually enforces that feeling. Meet Sammie. He is a picture perfect example of a shichon. He loves cuddle and hanging out with my children. He is 1/4 bichon and 3/4 Shih Tzu. His mother is a Akc gold and white shih tzu. She is around 12 lbs. His dad is a black Shichon. He is 1/2 shih tzu and 1/2 bichon. He is around 16 lbs. Sammie is being raised indoor and not use to the cold temperatures outside. He is being raised around my two children, other dogs, cats, and ducks here on our farm. He will come home to you up to date on his puppy shots and de wormings. We start house and crate training around 4-5 weeks of age. We also start bathing at 2 weeks of age as well. This goes a long ways for when he gets older. Introducing this at a young age imprints them with good habits as they get older. He will come home with you with a puppy packed informational folder, written health guarantees, collar, leash, toy and shot and worming up to date with written records. We can accept cash or Venmo.
