Diamond is red with patches female. Loyal and intelligent, this breed is fiercely independent and wastes no time attempting to establish dominance. The Catahoula is a great dog for experienced owners. This breed requires a firm and confident owner, able to lead by example and with respect. However, as with other hunting/herding breeds, there may be difficulties with smaller children. Catahoula's are not for everyone. Please research this breed before contacting me. Research the bad as well as the good so that you know the breed before adopting. Shelters are full of unwanted dogs. These pups are best suited for working (farming/hunting) homes or active homes. They do not do well in apartments or small yards or as pets unless noted. When doing your research, contact a few owners and breeders before you decide that the odd colored coat and the odd colored eyes of a Catahoula are something you just have to have. You may be looking for someone to take that spotted, glass eyed, demon from you before it is matured, which is about age 3 Both parents are farm dogs with strong instinct for working and hunting. Puppy will be UTD on deworming & vaccinations. Puppy will receive first vaccination at 6 weeks of age and on a deworming schedule beginning at 2 weeks of age. Puppy is ready to leave the farm now. Shipping is at the expense of the buyer. WE DO NOT SHIP. Buyer will need to make shipping arrangements if not picking up in person. Highland Rim Catahoula is a certified breeder with the NALC. Puppy is registered with the NALC and registration papers will be provided at time of pickup along with health records. We require $200.00 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit & signed contract to hold your puppy until 8 weeks of age. We will NOT hold a puppy without a deposit.
