Additional information: One of the smallest puppies that I have seen in a
long time. She is very tiny and may weigh out
adult weight at 4.5 -5 lbs. I love her love of
life, full of fun in spite of her size. And not
far behind her friends is Bristol, weighing in at
3.7 lbs. today. I'll admit it--we are
special buddies...she loves to bite my nose when I
pick her up. Her size-strength just amazes me.
Update Jan 28, 2016: Nothing has really changed
with Itsy Bitsy Bristol. She is tiny. She is
really active. She can be a rascal. And now she is
learning more and more how to love. Again, this is
an unusually tiny shihpoo who is strong and sturdy
and at the same time a real tiny. Rare!! Her coat
is a dark grey with a lighter muzzle--nothing
spectacular in color. The texture is rather
straight but full. It will be interesting to see
how it develops. But when you see her you melt.
She is just too cute for words and she is for
Update 6/21/16: OK--Miss Itsy Bitsy Bristol
has finally reached 4.0 lbs. And she feels that
she has a bit more substance when you pick her up.
I'm glad for that because it indicates that there
is no growth problems. In this case small is just
plainly small--and really small. Personality has
remained the same. There is no other puppy who
can get into as much mischief as this little one.
I was chasing her away from something she was not
supposed to touch the other day and she turned
and gave me a 'catch me if you can' bark. She was
so brave with her bathing yesterday--no cry-baby
here. Well, maybe she could be a purse dog if
you could keep her from tearing apart the purse in
her spare time.. Color remains mainly a silver
grey. As I mentioned before, the coat is
not particularly thick. The very small doggies
often have finer coats. But we are not
complaining. someone who wants and can afford
something really special. Here it is!! Update
September 2016: Bristol finally gets to 4
lbs. then drops down slightly below 4 lbs. She is
small but she remains very active. She tends to be
somewhat scrappy at times, bossy when she
thinks that someone a little larger is taking
advantage of her. Her coat has grown out again and
she looks like a little platinum mop rag with a
pinpoint black nose. She loves to be loved and
loves to sit on laps. As I have to downsize I have
been particularly concerned about her. I do want
her to have a special home. She has a buddy,
another female shihpoo who is minimally larger and
was born with a congenital left front leg
partial paralysis. She is truly beautiful, golden
with big dark eyes and a heart bigger than she
is.I have never advertised her. Her handicap does
not keep her at all from getting around and she
can be the life of the party. But as I downsize I
decided that I would like Bristol and Suki Sienna
to go together as buddies. That will eliminate any
stress related to loneliness. I think in a loving
environment, they then will do just fine. My
health problems will not keep her from finding a
charming environment along with her buddy Sienna.
