Additional information: Tiny Stephen is on hold pending receipt of
deposit... congratulations Judy S. of Garland,
TX!!! Stephen is a loving black and tan hairless
boy with just a touch of white on his back left
foot. He is a very small pup weighing just 3
pounds at 8 weeks while his littermates were
double or larger his size. I suspect his adult
weight will be in the 13 pound range. PRICE
REDUCED AGAIN so pups can find their forever
family!!! Two gorgeous litters of American
Hairless Terrier (AHT) pups born July 12th and
July 19th, 2016. I live in Midland, TX and visit
both the Arlington, TX and Canyon Lake (between
Austin and San Antonio) areas often so I may be
able to help with transportation. $650 each if
picked up in person or $1050 if shipped which
includes flight, crate and health certificate (add
3% if paying via PayPal). Two pups can be shipped
in the same crate for the price of one (2 health
certificates required) so talk to your friends and
family and save on shipping!!. I have black and
tan pups or white with black piebalds
available...ALL HAIRLESS, males and one female
remaining. PLL CLEARED BY PARENTAGE. All pups have
and will continue receiving age appropriate
worming and vaccines until they leave for their
new homes. These pups come from champion and grand
champion lineage but will be sold to PET HOMES
ONLY WITHOUT PAPERS. One dam is black and tan and
the other a chocolate piebald and each weighs 13
pounds (pre-pregnancy) and the sire is a black and
tan handsome boy weighing 23 pounds. I breed first
and foremost for temperment as this is a newer
breed, originating in the 1970s, and they are a
high energy breed and some can be high strung. All
my parents have calm, laid back temperaments and
they're goals in life are to play, love and
please. I'm looking for knowledgeable, family/pet
oriented indoor only homes. I'll be glad to answer
questions for serious inquries but please research
the breed first. For those of you still reading...
Thank you! Here's some additional info...AHTs are
born with a fuzzy coat which they start losing at
about 3 weeks with hairlessness starting at the
head and working its way down. Black and tan pups
tend to lose their coat at a slower rate but all
are typically hairless by 8 or 9 weeks of age.
AHTs are prone to acne commonly referred to as
"puppy pimples"...some get it worse than others
(my experience has been the black and tan pups
tend to have more acne than their piebald
littermates) but it is completely natural
and clears on its own. AHTs are the only true
hairless breed... other hairless breeds have some
hair on the head, tail or feet and their
hairlessness is tied to a faulty gene that also
affects dentition...the less coat they have the
poorer condition/quality of their teeth. Not so
with the AHT as its hairlessness is caused by a
mutated gene unrelated to dentition. Thanks
so much for taking the time to read about this
truly unique and awesome breed!
