The Peruvian Inca Orchid originated in Peru. PLEASE NOTE: This breed has been accepted for recording in the AKC Foundation Stock Service (FSS). This is simply an avenue to maintain reputable records regarding the breed’s development. This breed is not eligible for AKC (American Kennel Club) registration.
The Peruvian Inca Orchid can reach heights between 18-22 inches and will weigh between 35-40 pounds.
The Peruvian Inca Orchid can come with medium length hair or can be hairless.
The Peruvian Inca Orchid is very loving and loyal. They can be timid around strangers but warm up to them gradually. The Peruvian Inca Orchid is a happy go lucky dog but is also sensitive. They need time to warm up to new people and should not be forced to accept strangers immediately. They work on their own time schedule, which varies, with each dog.
The Peruvian Inca Orchid is a smart, caring breed of dog. They are easy going and enjoy a lot of attention. They crave to be around their owners. They are easy to handle and easy to keep.
The Peruvian Inca Orchid is easy to care for. A quick bath is all that is needed but the hairless breed must be have lotion applied afterwards. If the hairless is lighter in color, sunscreen may be needed as they can burn. The coated needs to be bathed every 1-2 months.
The Peruvian Inca Orchid is easy to train but they must have a gentle hand when training as they are very sensitive. They are smart and very willing to please.
The Peruvian Inca Orchid needs a good run at least once a day. While in the house they are couch potatoes. They are very attentive to anything that is going on.
