Coat: Is smooth, short and close to the skin. All colors are permitted except white, mouse grey, patches, dappled, or black and tan.

Character: The Fila Brasileiro is courageous, determined and very faithful.

Temperament: This breed is obedient toward the family it lives with. They are very protective of their family (including other pets they are raised with) and their home. This breed is not for a social family.

Care: Regular grooming with a brush and comb is required.

Training: The need early socialization with new situations, basic obedience. They can be very hard headed and stubborn. They are usually very easy to housebreak.
